Peter and the Wolf

                   at the Hollywood Bowl

AVAILABLE FOR TOURING

"In 1936 Prokofiev wrote Peter and the Wolf.

At that time, in Stalin's Communist Moscow, you had to be very careful what you said in public,

in private,

and even in music..."

On 20th August 2019 Blind Summit premiered Peter and the Wolf in the Hollywood Bowl, narrated by John C Reilly, with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, a puppet Peter and a brilliantly choreographed animal ballet from Daniel Hay Gordon.

A Socialist-Realist Puppet-Peter leads a cast of masked dancers in a semi-staging of one of the world's most popular pieces of classical music. This simple, charming tale of a boy who captures a wolf, introduces young audiences to the instruments of the orchestra and teaches them how to be a good communist

"a frolicsome feast for eyes and ears... dazzling adult puppetry" musicconnection.com

"The piece took to Daniel Hay Gordon's choreography like a fish to water... The cast, including a giant wooden puppet of Peter, delighted the crowd"
