We're looking for new puppeteers

Blind Summit has four shows in development: Puppeting Shakespeare, Citizen Jack, The Sex Lives of Puppets, and A Puppet Macbeth.

We are seeking to meet new puppeteers and performers and we will be holding general auditions in May 2022. These auditions will be used to cast a number of projects over the next two years, both in the UK and internationally. We are inviting applications from people who are interested in working with us.

About the Company:

Blind Summit's make new live shows with puppets at the centre of the story. We work through devising and improvising working with a co-writer.

We tour with teams of puppeteers and puppet makers, led by Artistic Director Mark Down. We train together and are known for our “Extreme Puppetry” - an improvisational style of three man operated puppetry, inspired by traditional Japanese Bunraku, where three performers learn to channel their performances in a single puppet.

"Blind Summit are the UK's puppet masters, a company whose shows have proved that puppetry doesn't have to come either with apologies or strings attached." THE GUARDIAN
