Nick first made his remarkably realistic puppets after returning from a journey thorugh China in 1997. He formed Blind Summit to find a way of using them in the theatre.

BIOG:

Studied drama at Hull University.
Studied Theatre Design at the Slade School of Fine Art.
Won a Duveen scholarship to train in puppetry with Philippe Genty at the International Institute of the Marionette.
In 1997 he formed Blind Summit Theatre with Mark Down.

PUPPETRY: Nick's interest in puppetry began by designing and co-producing a humanette production of Ubu! at Hull University and The Pleasance Theatre in the Edinburgh Festival. He has performed and made puppets with DNA, BAC, Circus Space and The London International Mime Festival. For Television he was production designer on Gilbert and Sullivan - The Very Models for Channel Four animation.
