Mark directs and performs for Blind Summit.

 

BIOG:

Qualified as a doctor in 1993.
Retrained as an actor at Central School of Speech and Drama in 1995
In 1997 Mark formed Blind Summit Theatre with theatre designer Nick Barnes.

 

BLIND SUMMIT: Director/ Performer: Madam Butterfly (2005/06), Low Life (2005/06), Director: A Puppet in the Works (2004), Martin's Wedding (2004), Cherevichki (2004), Pirate Puppetry (2003), Mr China's Son (2002). Performer: Moving Songs (with Wandering Minstrel 2005), The Spaceman (2002-2005), Tramping the Boards (2002).

 

ACTOR/ PUPPETEER: worked for London Bubble, Cardboard Citizens, Stanley Hall Opera, Treadwell Gallery, Wireframe, Dynamic New Animation, Theatre Rites, Globe Players, Midsummer Actors, Economical Truth, Turning Point TC and various roles on TV and commercials including Adam in Eastenders. He has appeared as a TV Doctor on the couch with Julia Carling in Granada Breeze, and wrote a medical column for Zest Magazine. He does occasional stand up comedy playing various characters including "Wolfie" - a german porno director.

 

Mark served on the board of the Puppet Centre in 2003 and helped to guide their new vision for the future. He created their web newsletter "Animations Online".
